Debra Drelich, LMSW, ACSW, CMC, CADDCT

Debbie is the founder of New York Elder Care Consultants, LLC, an Aging Life Care Consultation practice that provides assessment and care management of older adults. She has worked with clients in every facet of the senior care industry and has seen firsthand the challenges faced by clients suffering from dementia and their caregivers.

Debbie received her master’s degree in Social Work from the Hunter College School of Social Work, as well as a post-master’s degree in Individual Treatment, a certificate in Health Care Administration and certification as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

Debbie is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and Trainer by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. She has worked with hundreds of clients and their family members to support them as they struggle to maintain a dignified quality of life while living with dementia. She served for two terms as the President of the New York Chapter of the Aging Life Care Association and for over 25 years on the board, as well as for two years on the National Association’s executive board.

In the Fall of 2013, she was invited to serve as the eldercare expert for the New York Times Booming Blog, with a focus on the subject of senior housing. Through her work and organizational affiliations, Debbie became aware of the work of Sharp Again Naturally and immediately began to volunteer. She is delighted to be a part of the board.
