A Doctor’s Journey to Better Brain Health

Growing evidence shows that dementia can be prevented—and even reversed in its early stages—through a collaborative, multifaceted, and multidisciplinary approach. Achieving success on this path requires meaningful lifestyle changes, consistent effort, and the support of family and friends. It’s a 24/7 commitment, full of challenges—but the potential rewards are life-changing.

In this presentation, we’ll explore:

  1. How to prepare yourself mentally and physically for success
  2. Where and how to find the support you need
  3. How to become a strong advocate for yourself or a loved one

Join Dr. Howard Hindin as he recounts how his personal journey making significant lifestyle changes has set him on the path to a healthier brain and body.

Howard Hindin, DDS, is a general dentist with advanced training in craniofacial pain and dental sleep medicine. A recognized pioneer in the integration of dentistry and whole-body health, he was among the first dentists to remove mercury from his practice, emphasizing a biologically-informed approach to care.

Dr. Hindin is the co-founder and president of both the American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry (AAPMD) and the Foundation for Airway Health (FAH). These organizations were established to combat the rise of chronic disease by raising awareness about airway, sleep, and breathing issues, while providing education and training to healthcare professionals. He is also the first dentist elected to the board of the American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM), furthering the role of dentistry within integrative healthcare. Dr. Hindin is the co-author of GASP: The Hidden Airway Problem.

A passionate advocate for collaborative care, Dr. Hindin has authored and presented influential position papers to both dental and medical communities nationwide. His research on the dental-medical connection continues to shape a growing field that bridges disciplines to improve patient outcomes.
