Finding Light in the Darkness: A Dementia Journey

April 9 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT

Register here

Has someone you love been diagnosed with dementia? With no known cure, you may be feeling lost, hopeless and stuck. This is exactly the way Robert Grabel felt five years ago when his mother was diagnosed with vascular dementia. Yet he wondered if he was perhaps missing something deeper. Could there be another way? Would it be possible to find gifts, learning and even the possibility of supporting others through the challenges of this terrible disease?

Robert will share the vital lessons he learned through his relationship with his mom. Beyond that, Robert will offer actions you can take immediately to enjoy and support your loved one, preserve their legacy and experience your dementia journey with a deeper level of love, care and compassion.

The first 10 people to register will receive an autographed copy of Robert’s book, Gifts from Mom: 7 Tips for Finding Light in the Darkness of Dementia.

As a professional Sales & Leadership Coach, Robert Grabel is committed to serving others with a 30+ year track record of business development and sales success. After building a financial advisory practice, Robert went on to working with nonprofits gaining experience in everything from launching his own start-up charity to serving in leadership roles. In this time, he worked closely with volunteers and staff to raise millions of dollars in support for a wide range of causes including elderly care, homelessness, education, and youth development. Five years ago, when his mother was diagnosed with Dementia, he began his personal journey in the world of care-giving.

Robert lives with his wife Kimberly in Philadelphia with their dog. He’s incredibly proud of his daughter Alexandra, who is an architect in Philadelphia. Robert writes articles on sales and leadership, plays guitar and bass, runs marathons, and loves his time with his family and dog. His first book, Just Do the Work: The Portable Nonprofit Coach, is available on Kindle and paperback.  His second book, Gifts from Mom: 7 Tips for Finding Light in the Darkness of Dementia, is also available on Kindle and paperback. You can learn more about him here.
